Encinitas Turkey Trot Costume Contest Cash Prizes:
If you have never walked or run along the Pacific Coast in Encinitas in late November, you are in for the surprise of your life. Early morning offers a beautiful color to the Pacific Ocean. The waves have a special look during this time of the year. Start your Thanksgiving Holiday fun with friends and family at the Encinitas Turkey Trot 5k & 10k. It starts and finishes under the World Famous “ENCINITAS” Sign on Coast Highway 101.
Costume Contest Rules
Encinitas Turkey Trot Costume Contest:
Register at the Costume Contest Registration table prior by 7am
Costume award ceremony immediately following the 10k race
Normal running attire is not considered a costume
Awards will be given to the top three Individual and Group divisions who best display the spirit of Thanksgiving at the Encinitas Turkey Trot

Race completion times have no bearing on costume contest results

Participants must be present at awards ceremony to receive awards

Race Day Schedule and Registration Hit the alarm, stretch and run out the door to the Check-In. The 10k race begins at 7:30am, Kids K starts 7:40am and 5k Fun Run/Walk/Costume Contest starts at 8:00am.

The Voice of Downtown Encinitas, communicating concerns, advocating for policies, maintaining relationships with city and county officials and staff, and addressing important social issues. We are committed to the preservation and improvement of Downtown Encinitas and represent downtown businesses, advocating for practices that encourage smart growth and transportation and preserve and improve the quality of life in downtown.
Thanksgiving Meals in a Basket
Our program provides “meals in a basket” to over 150 active duty military families and provides assistance to local veterans in need. We understand the importance of “serving those who serve”. A special thanks to Encinitas Legion #416 and The Encinitas American Legion Women’s Auxiliary for their continued hard work and participation for this great and growing event.
Additionally, Encinitas Turkey Trot will be providing a grant to the Boy Scouts Troop #776 of St. John the Evangelist Church in Encinitas, La Costa Canyon High School Theatre Club, as well to The Cardiff School District for their support of the event.
