Encinitas
Turkey Trot & Food Drive

If you have never walked or run along the Pacific Coast in Encinitas in late November, you are in for the surprise of your life. Early morning offers a beautiful color to the Pacific Ocean. The waves have a special look during this time of the year. Start your Thanksgiving Holiday fun with friends and family at the Encinitas Turkey Trot 5k & 10k. It starts and finishes under the World Famous “ENCINITAS” Sign on Coast Highway 101. Our event supports Encinitas Community Resource Center and our Thanksgiving Meals in a Basket Program through Encinitas American Legion Post #416

Our Charity & Community Partners

After seeing so many in need in the community, a group of community and business leaders came together to form an organization addressing the homelessness and food issues in the community, forming Community Resource Center (CRC). Established in 1979, CRC has grown from providing basic needs for families in crisis, to offering extensive programs that facilitate the safety, stability, and self-sufficiency of low-income and episodically homeless households –including domestic violence (DV) victims.

  1. "Thanksgiving, Meals in a Basket" (sponsored by Encinitas American Post #416): 100% of donations collected by the Encinitas Turkey Trot will purchase family meals for active military families.
